I had the joy and pleasure of capturing Alexa and Brandon’s wedding day at the Chapel on the University of Kansas campus. It was such a wonderful day for this small, but beautiful wedding. The bride was everything a photographer could ask for and more.

Hot Hue of 2010: Cobalt Blue Wedding Inspiration!
Posted on December 14, 2009
Here’s a great post from OneWed!
A little birdy told me that Cobalt Blue will be one of the hottest, most requested colors for weddings in 2010. Since keeping our Savvy Scoopers on top of all the latest wedding trends is what we do here at OneWed, here’s a little Cobalt Blue, Yellow, and Gold wedding inspiration!
Cobalt Blue is THE hot hue for 2010 weddings, and pairs nicely with bright yellows and golds
Cobalt Blue is a beautiful bold hue that pairs nicely with bright, vibrant tones. Don’t select this color palette just because it’ll be hot in 2010. But if you are going for a fresh, ethereal vibe at your wedding, Cobalt Blue is a fantastic choice!

K. Austin Photography – Kansas City area Wedding, Portrait, and Event Photographer – Jason and Deatta’s Wedding
Posted on September 2, 2009
I recently had the pleasure of shooting Jason and Deatta’s wedding at a beautiful little chapel located on the University of Missouri Central campus. Even though this university will always be CMSU to me, having grown up playing on campus as a child, it was so nice to be back and what a beautiful setting for a wedding. With half of the wedding party and guests from Iowa and the other half from Texas, it was great to see everyone meeting and sharing throughout the entire event. Here are a few from the day.

Kansas City Wedding and Portrait Photographer – K. Austin Photography – Alexa and Brandon E-Session

I had the opportunity to spend the day with Alexa and Brandon shooting their Engagement photos. I also have the privilege of shooting their wedding this December at the chapel at the University of Kansas (GO KU!) . I can’t wait! We started off at the beautiful Kauffman Gardens and then made our way to the Plaza. Both locations gave us a lot of wonderful opportunity to capture some really great photos of them to share with their friends and family before the wedding. Thanks Alexa and Brandon! It was great working with you guys and I can’t wait to get back together in December!

K. Austin Photography – Kansas City area Photographer – Jacob – Senior 2010

I had the opportunity to spend some time with Jacob shooting his 2010 Senior portraits. Jacob has agreed to be one of my Senior Model Reps and has already done an awesome job of spreading the word!
Being both a bullrider and a basketball player, we had plenty of opportunities for some really great pics. And Bandit, his dog, was the sweetest little guy ever! What a ham!
Here is a sample of what we did.
